Long ago there were institutions where penmanship was taught and revered.  Not so today.  So much of calligraphy education, tools and materials have now become a hunt for, and trial and error experience.

I hope these suggestions will give you some positive choices, making your experience in penmanship more enjoyable.  Most of these suggestions are from my own experience.  Occasionally, someone will recommend a specific ink or merchant.  If you come across something noteworthy, please let me know.  Sharing information is helpful and appreciated.
